APSRTC Student Bus Pass Rates and Fares apsrtc.gov.in

APSRTC offers various passes for Students as listed below :

APSRTC Bus Pass for STUDENTS BELOW 12 YEARS OF AGE
In pursuance of the policy of Andhra Pradesh State Government, Corporation has implemented the facility of issuing free bus passes to all the students below 12 years of age w.e.f. 01.02.1984, to travel free from the residence to school and back, irrespective of whether the Institution is of Government, aided or private one. There is no distance restriction for availing the bus pass. The facility is available in cities / towns and in rural areas.
Eligibility: The School / Institution shall be of Govt., Govt. aided or private registered one. The Head of the Institution shall certify the date of birth and bonafides of the students. Free route pass between residence and school will be issued by the nearest Depot Manager.

APSRTC FREE TRAVEL BUS PASSES TO GIRL STUDYING UPTO CLASS X AND BELOW
Based on the decision of the Government of Andhra Pradesh vide letter No.12540/Tr.III(2)/2000-1, dt. 21.08.2000, Corporation has implemented free travel facility to all girl students upto an upper age limit of 18 years, studying Class X and below. This facility is extended for travel between the residence and school by ordinary services upto a maximum distance of 20 KMs. in rural areas and 22 KMs. in cities / towns.
Eligibility: Girl students up to an upper age limit of 18 years studying class X and below shall be issued with free route pass between the residence to school and back upto a maximum distance upto 20 KMs. in rural areas and 22 KMs. in cities / towns. The students studying in Govt., Govt. aided or private registered school are eligible for which the Head of the school shall certify the date of birth and bonafides of the students.

APSRTC STUDENT PASSES IN CITIES / TOWNS
The students studying in the colleges located in cities / towns are issued with slab rated quarterly route bus passes for a minimum slab of 4 KMs. to 22 KMs. maximum.

The existing APSRTC Fares for Student Quarterly Route Bus Pass tariff w.e.f.10.06.2013 is furnished below :
a) Up to 4 Kms .... Rs.130.00
b) Up to 8 Kms .... Rs.160.00
c) Up to 12 Kms .. Rs.195.00
d) Up to 18 Kms .. Rs.225.00
e) Up to 22 Kms ... Rs.265.00

These students are also issued with Monthly as well as Quarterly General bus tickets on the strength of which they are allowed to perform unrestricted journeys.

a) SGBT - Monthly.. Rs.130.00
b) SGBT- Quarterly.. Rs.390.00

Bus Pass Eligibility: The school / college / higher educational and Technical institution where the student is studying shall have recognition of the State or Central Govt. The courses shall be of full time in nature. The students shall not be in receipt of any stipend / fellowship and should not have been employed. The institution shall have affiliation to any Board or University of the State / Central Govt. which conducts examinations and issues certificates. The students shall obtain certification of the Head of the Institution in the application form prescribed and submit to obtain the bus pass from the nearest Unit Manager.

APSRTC Bus pass for STUDENTS OF HIGH SCHOOLS / COLLEGES
Students above 12 years of age studying in various schools / colleges, Higher Educational Institutions, Technical Institutions including private unaided Cooperative Junior Colleges and ITIs which are of the Government or recognized by the Andhra Pradesh State Government or Central Government or by the Government Board or affiliated to University are issued slab rated Monthly route bus passes whose tariff is based on the distance involved, valid for travel by the Ordinary buses only. These passes are issued for travel upto a maximum distance of 35 KMs. in case of students of Colleges / Higher Educational Institutions and upto 20 KMs. in respect of High School Students.

a) Up to 5 Kms .... Rs.85.00
b) Up to 10 Kms .. Rs.I05.00
c) Up to 15 Kms .. Rs.135.00
d) Up to 20 Kms .. Rs.180.00
e) Up to 25 Kms .. Rs.225.00
f) Up to 30 Kms.... Rs.250.00
g) Up to 35 Kms .. Rs.270.00

APSRTC SPECIAL GENERAL BUS TICKETS
In addition to all the above types of bus passes, Corporation is also issuing Special Monthly General bus tickets in cities / towns to the students who are studying Job Oriented Courses. These bus passes are priced a little higher than the tariff charged to other regular students.

a) Spl. SGBT - Monthly.. Rs.210.00
b) Spl. SGBT- Quarterly.. Rs.630.00


APSRTC EXCLUSIVE TRIPS TO SPECIAL SCHOOL / COLLEGES
Corporation operates exclusive buses to special schools / colleges, where the number of students utilizing the facility is not less than 60. This facility is available both in cities / towns and in rural areas.
Students numbering not less than 60 willing to avail exclusive student special shall be provided with exclusive bus facility. The minimum route length for operating the service is 16 KMs. in cities / towns and 20 KMs. in rural areas. The tariff shall be collected extra on pro-rata basis, depending upon the additional distance involved.

APSRTC GREATER HYDERABAD PASS
The General commuters, students and NGOs are issued with "GREATER HYDERABAD" passes in twin cities and Krishnaveni Darshan and Visakha Darshan passes being issued in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam cities respectively. The holder of this bus pass is allowed to perform unrestricted travel by city / suburban buses operating in that city in addition to availing the facility by Pallevelugu buses upto the destination and vice versa for which the ticket is purchased. The fare of this ticket is computed on the basis of monthly suburban General bus ticket plus the fare chargeable for the additional distance involved thereafter.
Eligibility: These passes are issued to general public and students. The cost of the pass is fixed at the base rate of Suburban General Bus ticket and additional fare beyond Suburban limits depending upon the distance involved.

The existing Greater Hyderabad / Tisakha / Krishnaveni tariff for Students w.e.f. 10.06.2013 are furnished here under  :
a.Monthly Greater Hyderabad/Krishnaveni/Visakha .. Rs.130 + Rs.35 for every 2 Kms. beyond limits

b.Quarterly Greater Hyderabad/Krishnaveni/Visakha.. Rs.390 + Rs.105 for every 2 Kms. beyond limits

The existing Greater Hyderabad / Tisakha / Krishnaveni tariff for General Commuters w.e.f. 10.06.2013 are furnished here under  :
a.Monthly Greater Hyderabad/Krishnaveni/Visakha .. Rs.700 + Rs.100 for every 2 Kms. beyond limits

b.Quarterly Greater Hyderabad/Krishnaveni/Visakha.. Rs.2100 + Rs.300 for every 2 Kms. beyond limits

APSRTC MONTHLY GENERAL BUS TICKETS
These passes are issued In three categories VIZ., Ordinary, Metro Express,Metro Deluxe validating the holders of the pass to perform unrestricted journeys by the services applicable for which it is valid and operating in that city j town. The holders of superior class of bus passes viz., Metro Deluxe General bus ticket holders are allowed to travel by Metro Express, Ordinary up to the valid limits.

APSRTC MONTHLY SEASON TICKET (MOFUSSIL)
Monthly season tickets are issued to the regular commuters like office goers, students, business men etc., in rural areas upto a maximum distance of 100 KMs. (20 stages). These passes are of two types viz., Pallevelugu and Express Monthly season tickets. The tariffs of these passes are fixed basing on the distance the pass holder intends to travel from one stage to another.

APSRTC EMPLOYEES'S CHILDREN
As a welfare measure to the employees of the Corporation, all the children of the employees studying in schools / colleges are extended student bus pass facility at an additional concession of 75 % over the rates of bus passes charged to other students

You need to select a Login id.
ID Card can be Driving Licence , Passport, Voter ID, PAN card or State/Central Government issued ID Card.
You need to carry the ID card while travelling on e-tickets.

Transactions on APSRTC are very safe. APSRTC employees the best-in-class security and the transactions done through APSRTC are secure. APSRTC uses Secure Socket Layers (VeriSign/Godaddy etc., SSL) data encryption. Using SSL ensures that the information exchanged with APSRTC is never transmitted unencrypted thus protecting the information from being viewed by unauthorized individuals. This encryption is done using 128-bit RC4 encryption. In addition the Credit card information is processed over secure gateways which are certified by Visa.

APSRTC Ticket Cancellation Rules

1. For cancellation of tickets, cancellation fee is calculated on the journey fare applicable as per the mentioned slabs here.
2. Cancellation of tickets with discounts will be as per the rules in force. However, cancellation charges will be worked out on the collected fare of the ticket and refund amount will be fare collected less cancellation fee. Further, cancellation charges are applicable on actual fare only.
3. Reservation fee and service charges are not refundable.
4. The cancellation for e-ticket and refund rules slab wise (excluding the reservation fee, which is non refundable) are as follows:

APSRTC Ticket Refund Procedure:

1. In respect of tickets cancelled by the passenger, APSRTC will refund the amount applicable to the concerned Credit card / Debit Card account by APSRTC.
2. In respect of refunds due to ticket not booked but amount debited to passenger's account, passenger is requested to send an e-mail to online.support@apsrtconline.in mentioning USERID of the transaction. Officials of APSRTC will verify the details and refund the amount to the concerned Credit card / Debit Card account.
3. Refunds to passengers will be given normally in one month, after the cancellation of ticket or receipt of e-mail. If refunds are delayed more than a month, passengers may contact helpline telephone number at 1800 200 4599 from 04:00 hrs to 23:00 hrs.

Service Cancellation by APSRTC
a) If service is cancelled by APSRTC for any reason, customer can cancel the ticket within 15 days from the date of journey to get full refund, except Service Fee.
b) Cancellation is not allowed after 15 days from the date of journey.

APSRTC also allows you to book tickets online with waiting list number similar to irctc. The rules for APSRTC waiting list is as follows :

APSRTC Waiting list rules:

1. The e-Ticket user who intends to get wait listed seat when desired service is FULL, will be given WL1, WL2, WL3 etc., depending on the number of wait listed seats, duly collecting full fare.
2. In case of vacancy arises on account of cancellation, the wait list rolls up to the extent of vacancies in the service and new wait listed passengers are allowed.
3. Seat will be allotted against cancellation to wait listed passenger (seat) on FIRST IN FIRST OUT basis. A SMS and an email will be sent to the e-Ticket user.
4. Seat confirmed/ unconfirmed position will be sent to the passenger via SMS/e-mail before 3 hrs from the scheduled departure of the service. Alternatively he/she can know the status in www.apsrtconline.in
5. E-Ticket user can cancel confirmed or unconfirmed or both types of seats on tickets up to one hour before the schedule service start time at origin.
6. If confirmed seat is cancelled normal cancellation/refund rules will be applied. In case of unconfirmed seat cancelled, total fare excluding Reservation fee and service charges will be refunded online up to one hour before the schedule service start time at origin.
7. If passenger is willing to travel as standee, he will be allowed with unconfirmed ticket in the same service or alternatively he can cancel unconfirmed seat/ticket.
8. If the passenger is willing to travel in special service other than his booked service, he has to pay the remaining 50 % difference of fare at the time of Journey.
